This detailed investigation of manuscripts of Phoinissai demonstrates the openness of the medieval tradition, the value of the recentiores, the extent of scribal conjectures, the nature of the Moschopoulean "recension," and the importance of Triklinios' rather than Thomas' influence on the so-called Thoman manuscripts. The full collation of all papyri and some three dozen major manuscripts, published here with an extensive list of Testimonia, will be a valuable resource for future editions and for further research.
