Olga Palagia was a Professor at the University of Athens for many years and is internationally known especially for her work concerning Ancient Greek sculpture. After she retired from university teaching, friends, colleagues and students dedicated these contributions to her, which take up her research interests. The topics addressed here by many of today’s leading classical archaeologists range from the study of Archaic and Classical sculpture to Hellenistic works; in addition, Roman sculpture from Greek workshops is also treated. Some of the objects discussed were previously unpublished, other contributions offer new interpretations for well-known pieces. The Festschrift includes 30 chapters, richly illustrated with a total of 251 figures. They are supplemented by a list of Olga Palagia’s publications.
